How We Think

A healthy mind is an absolute essential part in being well. To keep your mind active try learning something new such as a language or new dance style, do crosswords / puzzles, read about new topics, listen to different types of music or even try brushing your teeth with your non-dominant hand. It’s all really great for your brain.
In our busy environment, it is very important for our minds to have times of rest. Specifically set aside time each day to relax your mind or meditate. When was the last time you took time to watch the sun rise or set, or went outside to look at the stars at night?
Think positively. Listen to yourself talking and take note of whether you take a positive or negative outlook on things- if negative, make an effort to make it more positive. For example, if someone asks you how you are, instead of ‘not bad’, try ‘I’m well thankyou’. After all, if you’re not bad, you must be good!
